or binkies träd....Apparently, parents tell their kids, "When you get a little bit older you can bring your pacifier and hang it on the pacifier tree."

In the neighborhood of Skansen - near Stockholm, children are encouraged to give up their pacifiers so they can be donated to baby animals - and a ceremony goes with it. In Frederiksberg, Denmark, the Pacifier Fairy is said to give kids a special gift. Some of the little ones attach letters to their pacifiers, telling the fairy just how special they are. Usually this is done on their third birthday, when the child is seen as no longer a baby.
